Welcome to a bait & tackle shop for the fishing enthusiast. We are committed to all types of fisherman, whether it be freshwater or saltwater.

Why pay Shore prices? We have a full supply of tackle, rods, and reels for Surf and Saltwater fishing right here in Hamilton, Mercer County NJ

We carry Penn, Shimano, Tica, Daiwa, Okuma, Quantum, reels. Tica, Dawia, and Shakespeare rods. We have a good section of Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits, Berkley Power Bait, and Gulp. We also carry custom hand tied flies for both freshwater and saltwater. We also have a good stock of surf fishing rigs, sinkers, saltwater tackle and crabbing supplies. We carry LIVE BAIT for freshwater such as minnows, crayfish, and worms. Please see our Bait Status or the Fishing Report web page to see what is in stock. In the winter we will also have Ice Fishing supplies and baits. If we do not have something you want in stock we can and will order it for you.

We do rod and reel repairs. We are able to repair all types of reels. We can do a simple cleaning and lube all the way too extensive repairs. Rods we do it all from replacing a broken tip or guide to full rod rebuilds. To see more information please click here.

As we grow into this business we will be expanding into some camping and hunting supplies as well. That is where the bait & tackle and more... comes from. We now have some tents and camping supplies in stock. We are in the process of adding corn and other types of deer baits to the store.

The New Jersey fishing reports are updated daily. The saltwater fishing report covers surf (IBSP and LBI mostly), jetty, and boats. The bay fishing report covers Barnegat and Great Bays and will include a crabbing report as well. The freshwater report covers local lakes, streams, and rivers.

SALTWATER BAITS IN STOCK
Don't forget that we have bloodworms, salted clams, Atlantic herring, and vacuum packed frozen bunker in stock for your saltwater fishing needs. We might even be getting other types of bait in as the year goes on. We should have squid in once the fluke season gets under way. Of course we can not carry it all but we are trying to at least have some in stock.

EASTER SUNDAY MARCH 31
We will be closed Easter Sunday March 31. However we do go to summer hours starting Monday April 1. So we get one more day off until we are open seven days a week. I wish everyone a Happy Easter or Passover and we will see you Monday.

Fisherman Fred's beginner rod building course
The rod building class will be held Wednesday February 20 and Thursday February 21 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Fisherman Fred's 2222 RT33 Hamilton, NJ 08690. Class size will be limited to insure plenty of personal attention. Call or email too sign up now. For more information please CLICK HERE.

We are close to the lakes in Town Center, Lake Mercer, Miry Run Lake (tech pond), Gropps Lake, Rosedale Lake, Delaware River, the Assunpink Creek, Lake Assunpink, Rising Sun, and Stone Tavern just to name a few.
